British actress Sheridan Smith stars in two very different movies out in UK cinemas today: the romantic comedy Hysteria (click here to watch my interview with Hysteria director Tanya Wexler) and the horror movie Tower Block.

The closing night movie at this year’s FrightFest, Tower Block follows the titular building’s residents as they witness a murder and find themselves in the firing line of a sniper.

I had a chat with the film’s cast, writer, and directors at FrightFest. Check out the videos to see what they had to say…

Sheridan Smith talks stunts, on-set injuries, fight or flight, and treading the boards at the Old Vic in Hedda Gabler and in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with David Walliams:

Writer James Moran chats about his Tower Block iTunes playlist, moving from mild fantasy peril to bloody violence and strong language, and why he’d love to work with Michelle Ryan and Kurt Russell:

Nabil Elouahabi chats about working with two directors, the terrors of tower blocks, and working on Kathryn Bigelow‘s new film Zero Dark Thirty:

James Nunn and Ronnie Thompson talk about directing their first movie and plans for new films, plus check out James’ Robert de Niro and Al Pacino Scarface impressions:
