Top 5 Movie Frat Parties

There’s so much to enjoy in new comedy Bad Neighbours (15), which hits UK cinemas on 3 May. From the hilarious storyline to the gross out humour, the film not only produces laughs, but it even makes us wish we could live in a frat house!

Zac Efron and Dave Franco’s characters are on a quest to have a legendary party that will go down in their frat’s history, so we decided to have a look at the best frat parties on film.

1. Old School (2003)

Famous for the memorable line “We’re going streaking”, Old School sees a group of men way past typical fraternity age throw a party and, although it isn’t the most successful frat, it’s a lot of fun to watch. The film follows a group of middle-aged men trying to recapture their glory days by opening up a fraternity near their alma mater. From the first party that introduced Frank the Tank to the party that ended with tragic consequences for Blue, this film had some truly brilliant scenes.

2. 21 & Over (2013)

Who wouldn’t want to party their way through the Tower Of Power after watching this film? What made this frat party great was the addition of challenges on each floor to find a king of the party crowned by the end of the night. The film saw three friends embark on the craziest night out to celebrate Jeff Chang’s 21st birthday. The only problem is he has a huge medical school interview the next morning.

3. National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978)

Everyone loves a toga party. And this film is probably responsible for that trend with its famous saying, “Toga! Toga! Toga!”. The film is about two opposite Frats that had it all. Incredible music, the Dean’s wife and John Belushi’s guitar breaking are just a few highlights, although the toga party scene is the one that lives on.

4. PCU (1994)

This cult classic was hoping to be the 90s version of Animal House with a pretty classic frat party. Budding stars Jeremy Piven, David Spade and Jon Favreau star in the film about a high school senior who visits college and ends up staying at the wildest house on campus. With music from ‘Everybody Gets Laid’, under-age drinking and great performances from the main characters, this was a pretty awesome frat bash.

5. Bad Neighbours (2014)

New 5-star frat comedy Bad Neighbours hosts a party of epic proportions despite continued efforts from the neighbours to shut it down. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne star as the new parents who find themselves with the neighbors from hell when a frat moves in next door. The way this frat takes the ‘hot box’ to a whole new level makes this a party you really wish you could be part of. Expect some really wild party scenes!

Bad Neighbours (15) is out in UK cinemas from 3 May 2014.
