Home » Broken with Tim Roth

Ever since Tim Roth burst on to the screen in Made in Britain, it’s been clear that there’s something rather special about the British actor.

And since that on-screen debut in 1982, Roth has racked up an impressive filmography from indie dramas to studio blockbusters and everything in between.

The latest entry on an already long list of films including Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Rob Roy, is a British one.

Broken is out in UK cinemas on 8 March, and sees Roth give a beautifully understated performance as a loving father to a tweenage girl who witnesses a violent attack on one of their neighbours.

Adapted from a novel by Daniel Clay, Broken deservedly bagged a British Independent Film Award for Best Film at the BIFAs ceremony in December.

Check out the video to see Roth chat about building a rapport with his on-screen kids, working with newcomer Eloise Laurence, working with Son of Rambow star Bill Milner for the second time, and what it’s like having a surrogate daughter on set:
