Home » The Oranges with Julian Farino

Julian Farino, director of Entourage and How To Make It In America, was in London this week for a special screening of his new film The Oranges at the Covent Garden Hotel.

A wonderfully funny comedy-drama, the film is British-born director Julian’s first US feature.

And what a cast he has on board! There’s House star Hugh Laurie, Gossip Girl Leighton Meester, Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat, The Big C’s Oliver Platt, Allison Janney (Juno), and Catherine Keener (The 40-Year-Old Virgin).

But what’s the film about? Well, it’s set in suburban New Jersey and follows what happens when a 50-something dad (Hugh Laurie) falls for his best friend’s 20-something daughter (Leighton Meester).

I caught up with Julian to find out what it was like working with Hugh Laurie, Leighton Meester, Alia Shawkat, and Oliver Platt, as well as his thoughts on the Entourage movie and How To Make It In America. Check out the video to see what he had to say…

The Oranges is out in UK cinemas on 7 December.
