Sundance: Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana & Maya Forbes on Infinitely Polar Bear

The temperature may be below zero degrees centigrade here in Utah’s Park City, but Flicks And The City have our love of film to keep us warm!

And there’s certainly plenty of fantastic films on offer as the Sundance Film Festival celebrates its 30th year.

Take Infinitely Polar Bear, for example. Inspired by the childhood of Maya Forbes, who makes her directorial debut, it stars Mark Ruffalo as a manic-depressive dad struggling to care for his young daughters with on-screen wife Zoe Saldana.

Flicks And The City caught up with the film’s director and stars at its Sundance premiere.

Check out the video to see Mark Ruffalo chat about Infinitely Polar Bear’s extraordinary family and how making indie movies compares to blockbusters like Avengers: Age of Ultron. Plus, Mark tells Marvel he really wants to make a standalone Hulk movie!

Watch the video to see Zoe Saldana talk about filming her role in Infinitely Polar Bear, how director Maya really helped her understand her character, and the challenges of bringing a real-life story to the big screen:

Check out the video to see writer-director Maya Forbes talk about making her directorial debut, the inspiration behind the film, and what it was like working with superhero actors Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers) and Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy):
