Home » Sharni Vinson on new horror Patrick + Female Expendables

This weekend, Flicks And The City got in the spooky spirit for Halloween at FrightFest’s All-Nighter.

The event at London’s Vue West End included screenings of new horror movies such as Soulmate, Discopath, and actress Sharni Vinson’s latest flick, Patrick.

The film stars Sharni as Nurse Kathy Jacquard who looks after comatose patients at a foreboding clinic in the desolate Australian outback. One of her patients, Patrick, develops a crush on her, expressing it jealously with his increasingly alarming psychic powers.

We grabbed the chance to catch up with Sharni for the second time this year. (We last spoke to her ahead of FrightFest’s August screening of You’re Next.)

This time, we chatted all about Patrick, how the film and her character compares to her role in horror hit You’re Next, what it was like working with Jackson Gallagher who plays Patrick, what freaked Sharni out on set, and what it was like doing her own stunts again.

Sharni also told us about being part of an all-female Expendables-style action movie with Gina Carano and Katee Sackhoff, Pam Grier and Linda Hamilton rumours, what we can expect from the film, what she thinks of the title ExpendaBelles, when they’ll start filming for the 2015 release, and why she’s looking forward to getting her teeth into more stunts.

Check out our video to see what Sharni had to say!
