As well as sitting down with the voice cast and game director of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham at San Diego Comic Con, Flicks And The City also had a chat with the legend that is Adam West, whose lead role in the 1966 Batman series made him an icon and who stars as 60s Batman in the new game.
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which will be out in stores this Autumn, sees the Caped Crusader join forces with the superheroes of the DC Comics Universe and head to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth.
Check out our video to see Adam West talk about his thoughts on the appeal of Batman and the character’s timeless quality, why he enjoys playing Batman in LEGO Batman 3 and how he’s updated his character, his favourite lines for his character in LEGO Batman 3, his favourite Batman villain, how he finds voice-acting Batman compared to acting on screen, and what it’s like bringing his Batman to a whole new generation of fans.
Adam also tells us what he thinks Ben Affleck will be like as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and chats about which villain he’d love to play in new TV series Gotham, why superheroes are so popular now on TV shows and in movies, his 1966 Batman series, his role as the mayor of Quahog in Family Guy, whether he’d like to direct a Batman movie, what advice he’d give to other Batmans, why he thinks humour is important in the Bat-verse, and why he’d like to re-interpret Batman.
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is slated to release this Autumn on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS and PC.
