Home » Saoirse Ronan on Animation, Ryan Gosling & Kevin MacDonald

Flicks And The City’s Hayley Dean chatted with actress Saoirse Ronan at the UK premiere of her new film, Justin And The Knights Of Valour (in cinemas 13 September), at London’s Mayfair Hotel today.

An animated feature about a young boy who embarks on a quest to become a knight, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Tamsin Egerton, Freddie Highmore, and Antonio Banderas.

Check out the video to see Saoirse talk about what it’s like working on an animated feature film, being able to use her own Irish accent in Justin And The Knights of Valour, using fight moves in the sound booth, and drawing inspiration from her stunt scenes in Hanna.

Saoirse also gives us the lowdown on working with Ryan Gosling on his debut feature How to Catch a Monster, its multi-layered dark story, how they improvised on set, and working with an all-star cast; working with director Kevin MacDonald on How I Live Now and the music video by Bat for Lashes’ Natasha Khan for the movie.
