Robot & Frank Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival

Robot & Frank stars the brilliant Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon) as a cantankerous ex-jewel thief who lives alone and has started suffering from memory loss.

When his son (James Marsden) buys a robot butler to take care of his father, Frank is far from impressed. Until, that is, he realises the robot could make an excellent partner-in-crime.

Robot & Frank’s star, director and producers flew into London to chat about their charming and hilariously funny film at its BFI London Film Festival premiere. Take a look at the videos to see what they said…

Frank Langella talks about why he’d like a robot, what it’s like acting with a robot, and hearing Peter Sarsgaard‘s robot voice for the first time:

First-time director Jake Schreier chats about working with Frank Langella, why he’s on Team Darcy, and his interest in making more near-future films:

Producers Jackie Kelman Bisbee and Sam Bisbee talk about the challenges of filming Robot & Frank in a heatwave, how mosquitos attacked the actress inside the robot suit, and how they brought their cast together:
