Private Peaceful with Alexandra Roach & George MacKay

Adapted from the best-selling novel by Michael Morpurgo, Private Peaceful follows two young brothers through their tough childhood in rural Devon and brutal experiences of the World War One trenches.

George MacKay (The Boys Are Back) and Jack O’Connell (Skins) play brothers Tommo and Charlie, and Alexandra Roach (The Iron Lady) is childhood sweetheart Molly.

I caught up with George and Alexandra to chat about developing their on-screen bond, working with actress Maxine Peake and the child actors who played young Tommo and Molly, and what they’re working on next:
