Steve Coogan puts Alan Partridge to the side in his new film Philomena, which premiered at this year’s London Film Festival.

The film, which the actor has written and produced, tells the true story of an Irish woman fighting to discover what happened to the son she was forced to give up 50 years ago. Acting legend Dame Judi Dench co-stars in the film which is directed by Stephen Frears,

Flicks And The City caught up with Steve at the film’s UK premiere to talk about why he was nervous about taking on the Catholic church and why he’s going to start watching Doctor Who again:
