Noomi Rapace talks The Drop & Prometheus 2

Superbly dark and gritty crime movie The Drop is out in UK cinemas on 14 November.

Based on a short story by Dennis Lehane (Gone Baby Gone), The Drop follows lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) through a covert scheme of funnelling cash to local gangsters in the underworld of Brooklyn bars.

Flicks And The City grabbed a chat with one of its stars, Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), and its Oscar-nominated Michael R Roskam (Bullhead).

Check out our video to see Noomi and Michael tell us all about her role in The Drop, what it was like working with Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini, how her character Nadia in The Drop compared to her iconic character Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, improvising a scene with Matthias Schoenaerts (Bullhead), how Noomi brought the nurturing side of her on-screen character to set, why she found her character in Daisy Diamond so difficut to shake off after filming, her approach to acting, how she got to know The Drop director Michael Roskam.

Noomi also chats to us about how she’d like to see her character Elizabeth Shaw develop in the Prometheus sequel, Paradise, and what questions she’d like to see answered in Prometheus 2.

The Drop is in UK cinemas from 14 November 2014.
