The second trailer for Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation has arrived- and it’s a stonker!

“This may be our last mission – let’s make it count” says Jeremy Renner‘s William Brandt, and it looks like director Christopher McQuarrie has followed this advice himself.

Soundtracked by Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’, the trailer gives us a whole lotta action, as well as a better idea of just what it’s all about.

MI5-12282 SN02.tifIt ends, as the first trailer did, with the ‘wow’ moment of Tom Cruise hanging onto a plane, but this time we get to see some of the other action scenes too – and it seems like, whilst the film has had its release date brought forward dramatically, you get the feeling this is a reflection of the confidence they have in the film, as opposed to them just panicking.

This time IMF are really up against it.  They’re up against the Syndicate, an international highly skilled anti-IMF ready to take them down.

Rogue Nation of course sees Cruise back as Ethan Hunt, joined by returning stars Simon Pegg as gadget man Benji Dunn, the aforementioned Renner, and Ving Rhames. Also on board this time are Alex Baldwin and HerculesRebecca Ferguson.

It’s far from the first time McQuarrie and Cruise have worked together – McQuarrie has directed him previously in Jack Reacher, as well as writing the screenplays for Reacher, Valkyrie and Edge of Tomorrow.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is released in cinemas across the UK on 31st July.

Forever getting annoyed at people in the audience at cinemas.
