Rust and Bone with Marion Cotillard & Matthias Schoenaerts

Rust and Bone (De rouille et d’os) won the Best Film award at this year’s London Film Festival, and now it’s out in UK cinemas on 2 November.

Directed by Jacques Audiard (A Prophet), it stars Marion Cotillard as a killer whale trainer and Matthias Schoenaerts as a nightclub bouncer. When Cotillard loses her legs in a terrible accident at work, she turns to Schoenaerts for support.

I caught up with Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises) and Matthias Schoenaerts (Bullhead) to talk about working on Rust and Bone. Check out the videos below…

Marion Cotillard chats about getting to know her character and learning to swim for Rust and Bone, and being directed by husband Guillaume Canet in her next movie Blood Ties:

Matthias Schoenaerts talks about working with Marion Cotillard and Jacques Audiard, the physicality of his role in Rust and Bone, and his upcoming films Blood Ties and The Loft:
