Home » Lord Yohn Royce actor Rupert Vansittart talks Littlefinger & Season 6

This weekend at Collectormania in Milton Keynes, Flicks And The City grabbed a chat with actor Rupert Vansittart, whose 30-year on-screen acting career has included series such as Pride And Prejudice, Heartbeat, Doctor Who, and, most recently, Game of Thrones.

In GoT, Rupert plays Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone, who agreed to take in Lysa’s son Robin Arryn when Littlefinger and Sansa left the Vale in episode 1 this season.

As well as chatting to Rupert about Game Of Thrones, we also talked about his role as General Asquith in the first season of the new Doctor Who!

Check out our video to see Rupert talk about filming for Season 5 on the Antrim Coast, working with Aiden Gillen and Sophie Turner, what it’s like joining such a big show, how GoT is the only show his daughters have been impressed with his being part of in his 30-year acting career, returning for Season 6, how he’d like his character to die on the show, and what he makes of Littlefinger.

Rupert also tells us about his favourite on-screen death so far, working with Christopher Eccleston in Doctor Who, what it was like being part of the new Doctor Who, what he thinks of Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor, what he thought when Christopher Eccleston left Doctor Who, and what we can look forward to seeing him in next.

Showmasters’ London Film And Comic Con takes place 17 – 19 July at Olympia in London. For more information, visit the website here.
