Guardians of the Galaxy Interview with Ophelia Lovibond
Flicks And The City spoke to Ophelia Lovibond to see if she’d spill the beans on her role in Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy!
We’ve already seen Lovibond’s Carina on screen during the end credits of Thor: The Dark World, where she robotically walks to introduce Sif and Volstagg to Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector.
Speaking at the BAFTA Television Craft Awards at London’s The Brewery about her first sci-fi role, Lovibond confirmed she mainly shares her scenes with Del Toro. In the comics, Carina Walters is the name of The Collector’s daughter, but her character Carina Maverdevia seems to be more of a servant/aide.
Most interestingly, she lets slip in our interview that she also worked with Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Zoe Saldana (Gamora), leaving it for fans to speculate what interaction they might have.
Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn, also stars Karen Gillan as Nebula, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket Raccoon and Groot respectively.
Guardians of the Galaxy is released on 1 August 2014 in the UK.
