Home » David Bradley on playing William Hartnell in An Adventure In Space And Time + Peter Capaldi

With the release of Paul McGann’s online prequel The Night Of The Doctor this week, celebrations for Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary are already in full swing.

And this Thursday 21 November at 9pm, BBC2 joins the party with An Adventure In Space And Time, a docudrama by Mark Gatiss about how Doctor Who came to the small screen in 1963 with actor William Hartnell stepping into the Tardis as the first Doctor.

This weekend at Collectormania, Flicks And The City caught up with actor David Bradley who plays Hartnell in the new drama.

Check out our video to see David tell us about what it was like taking on the role of Hartnell and the responsibility to honour the late actor’s memory. David also reveals what he thinks about Peter Capaldi taking over from Matt Smith as the new Doctor in Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary year.
