Tonight, the Empire Cinema in London’s Leicester Square played host to the premiere of director Robert Zemeckis’ new movie Flight, out in UK cinemas on 1st February.

The film stars Denzel Washington, who’s Oscar-nominated for his fine performance as an alcoholic and drug-addicted pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, only to find his conduct in question after he’s saved the day.

I caught up with Denzel, co-star Kelly Reilly, Robert Zemeckis, and producers Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey on the red carpet to talk all things Flight. Here’s what happened…

Denzel Washington chats about pilot training, his worst real-life flight experience, working with Robert Zemeckis and Kelly Reilly, playing morally ambiguous characters, and what we can expect from his next movie 2 Guns with Mark Wahlberg:

Kelly Reilly talks about the research she did to play a recovering heroin addict and why Denzel Washington’s like a heavyweight boxer:

Director Robert Zemeckis chats about how his experience as a pilot helped him make Flight, his own flying experiences, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit sequel:

Flight producers Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey chat about their experience working with Robert Zemeckis on Flight, returning to live-action features after mo-cap filming, Yellow Submarine, and confirm there WILL be a Who Framed Roger Rabbit sequel with Bob Hoskins:

Flight is in UK cinemas on 1st February.
