Home » Deirdre Lovejoy talks The Wire & Larry David

Flicks And The City recently caught up with Deirdre Lovejoy to talk about her role in the TV show The Wire.

deirdreDeirdre explains how she came to be cast in the part of Assistant State’s Attorney Rhonda Pearlman, why she was constantly surprised from one to the next, how Rhonda dealt with the heartbreak of trying to love Jimmy McNulty and why she has a t-shirt that says “Climax Nowwwwwwwww!!!!!”. Also how she addressed the topic of having sex on camera with her co-star Lance Reddick.

Away from The Wire, Deirdre talks about what have been her favourite TV roles and also we ask her what it was like working on Larry David‘s only directorial film Sour Grapes.

As a final thought, Deirdre explains why she will always remember working on The Wire.

The Wire: The Complete Collection is released on Blu-ray on 1 June for the first time ever courtesy of HBO Home Entertainment.
